SHARKS DON’T YOU DARE SQUANDER THIS GAME.

I DIDN’T GET FOUR HOURS OF SLEEP AND WAKE UP AT 3:30 TO WATCH YOU DO THIS

An open letter to depression:

Having just read yet another article on a teenager committing suicide, I feel heartbroken. Almost the same feeling I got when three kids from my home county committed suicide within a month, and I wanted to scream and punch walls and wonder why I couldn’t save them.

Because I’ve been there, and I’ve fought my way through hell and back, and only know realize just what a mess I would have caused had I taken their same position. I understand my illness, not all fully, but because I’ve been there through it and lived. I still live. Some days are harder than others, and there are times I still cannot get up in the morning. Why? I have no clue, but maybe someday some one will come up with a good enough explanation, and that will be the end of the mental health stigma.

These are young kids with so much ahead of them. Why do we become afflicted with such a debilitating disease that eats at our minds, our hearts, our arms, and our veins? And why does everyone seem to be like “Oh you just need to be happy!” when you can’t be happy because nothing is there to pull you out, and you think of every reason in the book to not stay here anymore? You deny living, and everything that involves living. You. are. numb.

So please, can we just end the judgement. I’m not crazy, I’m just a little broken and I don’t know why. These young kids don’t know why either, they just know what they’re feeling is wrong- and that if they tell anyone they will find themselves in a rubber room. But, If impotent men can get free access to drugs to increase their erections, I’m pretty sure anti-depressants should be free to all those who need them too, and not be afraid to face the world any longer.

allison out.

There’s gonna be more albums and there is gonna be a lot more music from Backstreet Boys for sure. Don’t worry. This isn’t the end.
